Hi everyone! Welcome to our forum! My name is Seven Rasmussen, and I'm TNI's Director of Content and Communications. I teach physics, astronomy, and astrobiology at a local college. I also write science articles for outlets like Scientific American, and my first book comes out next year: LIFE IN SEVEN NUMBERS: THE BIZARRE AND BEAUTIFUL PATH FROM STARDUST TO STARSHIPS. I am currently working on a middle-grade science fiction novel about two girls from parallel universes who have to team up to save both. It has lots of neurodiverse rep! I am about 25% done :)
I live in Tacoma with my wife and our two very evil cats, Mostly Void Partially Stars, and Toast. I am a huge Star Trek fan, and my dream job is to write for the show. Right now I am loving ST: DISCO! I actually did not name myself after Seven of Nine (seven is the number of celestial objects that move in the sky), but I appreciate that people make the association, and I KNOW I'm going to have to explain myself to Jeri Ryan one day.
